Welcome to Meander In Bed and Breakfast
We hope you enjoy your stay with us in our traditional B&B where you arrive as guests and leave as friends. Since opening in April 2000, we have shared our home with visitors from all over the world, many who continued their friendships long after leaving us. We look forward to providing you with a wonderful B&B experience in our century Queen Anne Revival Victorian home. Should you have dietary allergies, please let us know upon arrival.
Our home was built in 1898 for Capt. Forsyth and his family, replacing the house which was destroyed in the Great Windsor fire in 1897. We are the 4th owners of the home which features original plaster and wood moldings, stained glass, 5 fireplaces, cast iron radiators and grand staircase despite being modernized.
We offer 4 bedrooms – 2 rooms share a 2 piece (toilet and sink) and a 4 piece (toilet, sink, claw foot tub and separate shower) bath and 2 rooms with 4 piece en-suite baths. Fluffy terry robes, towels, hair dryer, shampoos and soaps await you. We provide cable television in each of our rooms along with telephone, clock radio, ceiling fans, window fans and free Wi-Fi internet. Our B&B is a smoke free environment however smoking is permitted on the outside lawn patio, located just off the back deck.
Please don’t hesitate to ask us about our home, Windsor the beautiful “Little Town of Big Firsts”, the surrounding area or the province of Nova Scotia. There is so much to see and do. A great place for a “home base” while touring the central area of Nova Scotia since we are within 1 hour of Halifax, Lunenburg, Halifax Stanfield Airport and Kentville, just to mention a few.
